Phases Explained
Conditioning Phase
This phase is dedicated to Mobility & Endurance. Our goal during this phase is to build up our durability and to last longer in our workouts, Resulting in more effective outcome during all the other phases (below). This is an excellent phase to start your fitness journey.
Build Phase
This phase is dedicated developing and improving our Strength & Flexibility . Our goal is to invest time in drills that directly extract the maximum gain. This is an excellent phase to start your journey; starting with the biggest bang for buck workouts.
Base Phase
This is a short 2 week phase where we work on balancing out the body as well as well rounded full body fitness testing. This is an excellent phase to start the program as you can commence your 12 week cycle with a fitness test and a baseline measurement of where you are at. We run the base phase twice in the 12 week cycle.

NOW IS AS GOOD AS ANY TIME! NOW is the perfect time to start. Start when you feel the most motivated to get going and use that motivation to carry you through your first 12 weeks.
You could initiate your fitness program during the Base, Build or Conditioning Phases. Beginning, Midway or towards the end of the phase; it really doesn't matter. Just Get Going!
Your goal in the first 12 week cycle is to familiarise yourself with the drills and identifying the regressions or progressions that apply to you. Program Outcomes
Capacity Development A fancy way to say... Get Stronger, More Mobile & Improve Flexibility. You need all 3 whether its just for general fitness or to learn big calisthenics skills, so start training as if your body matters.
Improve Durability We can't bullet-proof our bodies, but we can get a ton closer to it. Durability means the ability to move, and undertake exercise (and go about your day) & minimising injuries. This means investing in mobility, range of motion and joint durability.
Strength inside L9 Fitness
The old Strength class now lives inside L9 Fitness. Here is what that strength work covers.
Class Summary
Our primary objective is to develop your strength capacity, i.e. help you increase your maximum strength as well as strength endurance through a range of bodyweight movements. Strength development will assist day to day life movement, and help you unlock advanced calisthenics and yoga movements that have a high strength requirement.
This class is for members of all levels.
What you will learn
You will learn a variety of body-weight strength exercises and the appropriate level for you to work at. Over time within a program you will learn proper technique for fundamental strength movements & apply them to help unlock more advanced movements should the opportunity arise. Right from the beginning, you will be learning calisthenics (even if the movement is still far away).
